Frequently asked questions
Can we meet you before we book?
Of course! I am happy for you to come to me, me to come to you (if you are relatively close!), or to meet somewhere for a cuppa (or a tipple!). I am also happy to chat over the phone, on Sykpe or Facetime.
Is a deposit required?
Yes, to confirm your date I require a 20% deposit.
When is the balance due?
The remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding date
What is an engagement shoot?
An engagement shoot is a couples session with me that takes place a couple of months before the wedding. The idea is that I get to know you as a couple, you get to know me as your photographer and also get to know the way I work. This will alleviate any stresses on the wedding day as we have already met, you are more comfortable in front of the camera and I have had chance to answer any questions you have in relation to your day and your images.
Will you travel for a wedding?
Yes! Although I am based in Yorkshire, I am more than happy to travel for any wedding
How much do you charge for travel & accommodation?
Anything over 40+ miles from Beverley, East Yorkshire a travel charge of 45p a mile may be applicable. Any wedding that is more than a 90 minute journey for me from Beverley, I may ask for accommodation the night before your wedding. This will mean that I am fresher for your wedding in the morning and helps avoid any extra stress or issues if I am already near the venue.
Do you do group shots?
Yes, I am more than happy to do group shots. I do recommend that the number of shots is kept to around 8 to 10 which should take around 30 minutes. Group shots are very much a personal preference that I am more than happy to discuss with you!
How do we book with you?
I am so pleased you are looking to book me for your special day! If you get in touch with me, I can check that I have your date free then get the information from you that I need to confirm your date.
How long do you stay?
Well, this all depends on which package you have booked me for.
How long until we get to see our photos?
I will post a sneak peak of a photo usually within a few of days of the wedding. The main gallery will be available within a maximum of 6 weeks (although I am usually quicker than this!)
Who owns the rights to the photos?
The copyright for the photographs will always stay with me, however you will have a print release issued to you which will enable you to print and share the images with your and your family and friends to your hearts content!
Are you insured?
Of course! I can provide my certificates to any venue if required.
What happens if it rains?
Being from Yorkshire, I am certainly not scared by a little bit of rain! However, if it does rain on your big day, as long as you have a pair of wellies and an umbrella (preferably a special one!) we can still capture your big day!
Do you do albums?
Yes, I work with a number of companies who do beautiful albums and other products so you are more than welcome to add products onto your coverage. You dont even need to make a decision right away!
